A Random Babble of Life

I have know clue what a babble is… If someone does then clue me in because I think I just made up the word!

Really I just wanted to post a bunch of random stuff about life today because I don’t want to tackle either of the more “serious thinking” posts I have forming in my head 🙂

So I thought I would post a couple of my favorite types of meals for your visual pleasures (well it might not be pleasurable as my camera skills are less than adequate).

A Breakfast for Hospital Working Champions!

Two Vita Tops (banana chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip) topped with a spread of peanut butter with a banana on the side. Fiber + Healthy Fat = one happy diet office volunteer that morning!

Wonders of an Acorn Squash!

I picked this little baby up at the neighborhood fruit stand one afternoon and had to have it that very night for dinner! I baked it in the oven (upside down – O! and I forgot to spray the pan) @ 375 F for about 30 minutes then topped it off with two scoops of almond butter and cinnamon. My tummy was squash happy!

Chocolate Greek Yogurt (for the Gods)

I have my twin to thank for introducing me to this creation. I had been using Hershey’s cocoa powder at school but I am out.  Here is the thing to know (are you ready?) Ghirardelli is the better tasting, but Hershey’s is the better mixing when it comes to yogurt… just something to keep in mind when choosing your product of choice.

Now here are my yogurt bylaws (made up and only I really follow them)

  1. Plain Greek yogurt (preferably Fage but this is Dannon Oikos) mixed with cinnamon, peanut flour, or chocolate
  2. Placed in the freezer for about 30 minutes (depends how good or bad your freezer works in my dorm it would take more like an hour)
  3. Eat when the top (like 1/2 inch) is nice and ice rink like
  4. ALWAYS (now this i never break) eat with a banana for dipping 🙂

Well there you have my babble. It feels good to think about nothing serious or mind boggling for the day 🙂 because today was about babysitting, celebrating my best friend’s brother’s graduation from high school, and PVP (pre-vacation pedicures) with mom.  Now I am off to make ice cream cupcakes for Father’s Day.

What are your plans for tomorrow’s special day?
